I am doing great. Going out has never been better.
Here’s a glimpse as to what’s been happening lately:
Last weekend, I went to the Campit Resort near Saugatuck to help raise funds for Gender SAFE. I got dolled up and I went out. They are a wonderful, welcoming LGBT resort in the middle of nowhere, and I met all sorts of wonderful human beings. Met the owner, met drag queens, met every kind of human being. Here’s an outfit from that weekend:
Been talking to the HR department at work, my supervisor, the chaplain, etc. I am the first trans person at work, and they know this. But Nina, Sheri, Amelinda, Anna, Zoey, Judy, Liz, etc… are all in. They have stood up and said “whatever you need, we are here for you, and we love you.” Would love to give all of them a hug and tell them thank you for standing with me.
And in terms of being “rescued,” I feel Grace Episcopal has rescued me as well. Jen Adams is Super Woman. The congregation there takes everything in context, and I’ve started to make friends with the parishioners there. I’m sure people like Janet will become family.
More good things are happening… but I’ll come back later with those.
